Nail Technology  Instructor Program

Admission Requirements


  • Two forms  of current signature bearing identification. One must be a government issued photo ID
  • Be at least 21 years  old
  •  Must have an official sealed copy high school transcript,  or it's equivalency 
  • Must attend orientation prior to enrolling
  • Official College Transcript
  • Duplicate copy of valid cosmetology license

600-Hour Nail Technology Instructor Program

Theory / Classroom Instruction – 250 Hours

  • Teaching Methods & Learning Styles —40 Hours 
  • Lesson Planning & Curriculum  Development — 35 hours
  • Classroom Management — 25 hours
  • Educational Psychology — 20 hours
  • State Laws, Rules &      Regulations — 20 hours
  • Student Evaluation / Grading Procedures 20 hours
  • Professional Development & Ethics — 15 hours
  • Communication & Public  Speaking — 20 hours
  • Record Keeping & School Administration — 15 hours
  • Career Development & Employment Skills — 20 hours
  • Safety, Sanitation &  Infection Control Review — 20 hours

Practical / Instructor Training – 350 Hours

  • Demonstration Techniques — 60  hours
  • Supervising Student Clinic Work —      80 hours
  • Practical Teaching Experience —      100 hours
  • Student Coaching & Mentoring      — 40 hours
  • Conducting Theory Classes — 30 hours
  • State Board Exam Preparation Instruction — 20 hours
  • Administrative & Front Desk Training — 10 hours

Grading Procedure

Grading Scale Nail Instructor

Pine Belt Nail Academy maintains a minimum passing standard of 80% for instructors. Students must achieve at least an 80% average in both theory and practical work to remain in satisfactory academic standing.


Excellent                               100-90%  - A 

Satisfactory/ Passing              89-- 90%   - B    Unsatisfactory/Failing               79% - 0% -   F

Course Objective – Nail Technology Instructor Program

The objective of the 600-hour Nail Technology Instructor Program is to prepare licensed nail technicians with the knowledge, teaching skills, professionalism, and practical experience necessary to become effective educators in the nail industry. This program is designed to develop competency in classroom instruction, student supervision, lesson planning, clinic management, state board preparation, and educational leadership. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be prepared to successfully meet state licensing requirements and pursue employment as Nail Technology Instructors in cosmetology and nail technology schools.

The 600-hour Nail Technology Instructor Program is designed for licensed nail technicians seeking to advance their careers into education and instructional leadership. This comprehensive program provides training in teaching techniques, classroom management, lesson planning, student evaluation, clinic supervision, and state board preparation. Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on teaching experience through supervised practical instruction and classroom participation.

The program emphasizes professionalism, communication skills, educational methodology, safety and sanitation procedures, and effective instructional practices necessary for success in a school environment. Graduates of the program will be prepared to educate future nail technicians, supervise student clinic operations, and meet state licensing requirements for Nail Technology Instructors.
